Digital Art

It’s easier to not finish things on the computer, because there’s no physical reminder. Just unfinished files hidden away somewhere on a harddrive. And that’s where all my attempts at digital art end up. But today I actually finished something (!!) so here you go. very simple, but still. (Though I need to figure out how to make everything look less pixelated!!)

Art and Stuff in Vienna

We spent approximately 30 hours in Vienna. And during that time we very spontaneously visited the Albertina museum, which kind of exceeded expectations.

First: this hipster picture I’m very proud of.

Next: some of the art. This one is called black on black. I’m not kidding.

And here we have some water lilies by Monet. When I was a kid I read a book about this. About a little girl with the same name as me, who travelled with her grandfather to Paris to see Monets water lilies. I was thinking about that story as we looked at this and it was a tiny bit surreal.

And here are some of Degas ballet dancers (I’m trying to make it sound like I know what I’m talking about), a painting by Matisse, and then a few others I don’t really know anything about but they look nice.

Oh, and this one’s by Picasso:

Wow. And to finish it off, some van Gogh. (I like the sketch, it feels a bit more personal than a well thought out painting).

Even though that’s nice too.

Dead Mans Paint

Today I overslept, accidentaly ditched my friend and almost arrived late to an interview. It was like a movie, trying to grab all my stuff while dropping things, running through the rain and looking disgusting as I got there.

Then everything started looking up. Part of it were some great conversations I had with some random people, but the best thing is that I found a box full of art supplies for 85 sek in a second hand store. It probably belonged to some random artist who died. All artsy and morbid. Hence the title of this post, relatively non-misleading. 14895435_1841609682719110_1281509504_oI also bought water mixable oil colours, at the art store this time, and they’re so good?? Like seriously, I found out that this existed just a few weeks ago, and oil colours that can be mixed with water, I don’t quite understand why more peole don’t use them. So far they’re awesome.14958150_1841609679385777_1266439973_o20161026_191824
